Healthcare Town Hall to be held in Edwardsville
State Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville, is collaborating with St. John’s Community Care to host a Healthcare Town Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 20, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Edwardsville Public Library at 112 S. Kansas St. in Edwardsville.
“As I go door-to-door in my community, I find that health care is consistently a top concern of local residents, especially older residents who will soon be eligible for Medicare,” Stuart said. “There seems to be quite a bit of uncertainty about the future of health care. It’s why I joined my colleagues to pass legislation guaranteeing Illinoisans access to health insurance regardless of pre-existing conditions, like cancer or heart defects. This town hall meeting is intended to bring our community together to better understand how our policies on health care can positively impact every family in Illinois.”
Stuart’s event is co-hosted by St. John’s Community Care, which provides home and community-based healthcare services to veterans, adults with disabilities and the elderly.
