Midwest litigation firm HeplerBroom says Daniel L. Siegfried has joined the firm as a partner in its Chicago office.
Siegfried focuses his practice on a broad range of environmental issues, with particular emphasis on permitting, regulatory compliance, and enforcement matters. He has more than 25 years of experience representing clients in the electric utility and natural gas industries in all major areas of environmental regulation.
“We’re thrilled to have Dan join us,” said Katherine D. Hodge, a partner in the firm’s Springfield office and head of HeplerBroom’s Environmental Practice Group. “Not only does Dan bring decades of sophisticated environmental permitting and regulatory compliance experience to our long-standing clients, but adding him in Chicago is another strong step in expanding HeplerBroom’s already prominent Midwestern environmental law presence in the Chicago area and beyond.”
Siegfried is licensed in Illinois and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Law and also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science.
Previously, Siegfried served as attorney to the chairman of the Illinois Pollution Control Board, where he presided over regulatory hearings and advised the chairman on permit appeals, variance requests, enforcement cases, and similar proceedings in air, water, and waste.
HeplerBroom is based in Edwardsville.
