Fifth Annual Heart & Soul Gala to support Caritas Family Solutions
BELLEVILLE – Caritas Family Solutions is holding its fifth annual “Heart & Soul” Gala on Saturday, Feb. 10, at the Four Points Sheraton, 319 Fountains Parkway, Fairview Heights.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with cocktails and silent auction bidding, followed by a three-course dinner complete with wine service. Tickets are $99 per person. Cocktail attire is requested. Reservations are required by January 30 and can be secured online at caritasfamilysolutions.org/gala or by calling (618) 213-8714.
As the agency’s largest fund-raising event of the year, proceeds from the gala support efforts to strengthen well-being in the community through professional social services that empower individuals and families across Southern Illinois to reach their full potential.
The 2018 gala is in memory of Mike Burnworth, a local attorney and longtime volunteer at Caritas, who passed away unexpectedly last year. John Pertzborn from Fox2News in St. Louis will once again serve as Master of Ceremonies, with Dave Schumacher from Schumacher Auction Service as auctioneer. Complimentary valet parking will be provided courtesy of Cardinal Buick GMC.
The evening will also feature a jazz guitarist and a live auction. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with fellow Caritas supporters and take a chance at several raffles. The winner of a trip raffle will receive $500 in cash and a one-week vacation package at their choice of the following destinations: Dublin, Ireland; Havana, Cuba; Playa Naranja, Costa Rica; or Limpopo, South Africa (transportation not included.) There are only 75 trip raffle tickets available at $100 each, and the winner does not need to be present to win.
Event sponsors include Gori Julian & Associates, Edward Jones, Thompson Coburn LLP, Davis Charitable Foundation, J.F. Electric, Mutual of America, Korte & Liutjohan Contractors and several others.
