EWR Architects enjoys a banner year in 2017

EWR Architects of Fairview Heights celebrated substantial business growth in 2017. Annual gross receipts for the year increased more than 48 percent over 2016 and the firm’s backlog of work under contract stepping into the new year has grown by nearly the same amount.
Last year, EWR designed several significant projects including the new athletic fields and stadium for Althoff Catholic High School in Belleville, constructed by Byrne and Jones; the Fairview Heights Recreation Complex, “The Rec” for the city of Fairview Heights, now starting construction with Holland Construction Services, Inc. as construction manager; an addition to the South Central Elementary School in Kinmundy, Ill.; a major addition to the South Central High School in Farina, Ill., for which Poettker Construction was the construction manager; an addition to the Franklin School District High School; a large project at SAFB in a team with engineering firms HDR and ch2m – two of the largest consulting firms in the country; and renovations at the Casino Queen. In all, EWR designed or began design of more than $150 million in new projects in 2017.
Correspondingly, as a part of the growth, EWR also grew its staff and technology capabilities, keeping up with the demand for its services. Future business growth is also indicated in its forecasted sales for 2018.
EWR operates under the philosophy of “successful relationships create successful projects,” says company principal and president, Bill Reichert.
“This is a landmark year for EWR and we are blessed with great clients and great opportunities in this our 34th year in the business of architecture in Southern Illinois,” said Bill Reichert. “We continue helping to shape the future of our communities and environment.”
