ST. CHARLES, Mo. – The United States Postal Service – Gateway District is now hiring for rural carrier associate posts that pay $17.40 an hour.
Rural carrier associates provide rural mail delivery, customer service, and additional duties as assigned. Training is provided.

Duties and requirements for this position include:
Sorting, delivering, collecting mail on foot and/or by vehicle under a variety of weather conditions
Maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive customer service experience
May be required to provide own vehicle with automatic transmission to deliver the mail
Working variable hours up to six days a week
Must be 18 years of age and not enrolled in high school
Must pass criminal background check
Must pass drug screening
Must have valid driver’s license (two years continuous)
Must have a good driving record
Must be U.S. citizen or have permanent resident alien status
The positions are considered non-career but can be a career path to full-time rural carrier positions.
