HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation promotes local Giving Tuesday
HIGHLAND – HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation has joined the global Giving Tuesday effort and asks the community to consider donating to HSHS St. Joseph’s Hospital on this day of giving.
“Our donors are extremely important in helping us provide quality health care close to come,” said Amy Liefer, Foundation Director for HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation. “Giving Tuesday is a great opportunity to support community health.”
Giving Tuesday represents a global day dedicated to giving back. On the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, charities, families, businesses, community centers and students around the world come together to celebrate generosity and helping others. Giving Tuesday is held annually after the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate to improve their local communities and give back in impactful ways to charities and other causes they support.
Financial contributions are vital to the healing ministry of St. Joseph’s Hospital. The HSHS St. Joseph’s Foundation was established to advance the mission of the hospital to provide health care to all and carry the hospital’s values and traditions for future generations. By giving to the local foundation, you can be assured that your donation is making a difference for patients, their families, and the community.
As a nonprofit hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital relies on contributions to provide health care services to Highland and the surrounding communities. The HSHS St. Josephs’ Foundation provides financial support to the hospital for investments in equipment and the facility. Those donated funds allow the hospital to provide 3D mammography, the Friends Van transportation service, nursing education, and many other equipment purchases for the lab, inpatient, emergency and surgery departments.
