Illinois Pipe Trades Association backs Aud Crowe in senate campaign
The Illinois Pipe Trades Association, a regional division of the United Association, has endorsed Democrat Rachelle Aud Crowe, of Glen Carbon, in the election for the 56th Illinois Senate District.
“I’m proud to be endorsed by the Illinois Pipe Trades Association,” said Crowe. “Standing up for working families is critical to putting Illinois on the right track.” She said her own family “has deep roots in manufacturing.”
The lPTA represents 19 unions and over 1,500 union contractors throughout Illinois as well as parts of Iowa and Indiana. Represented fields of work include plumbing, pipefitting, sprinklerfitting, welding, heating/ventilation air conditioning and refrigeration, and service work.
“Rachelle has received a strong 100 percent vote of endorsement from the Illinois Pipe Trades Association,” said IPTA President Totsie Bailey. “We look forward to working with Rachelle to stand up for working families by promoting job creation and economic growth, safe and fair working conditions, and the right to collectively bargain.”
Crowe serves as a Madison County Assistant State’s Attorney and has successfully represented victims in hundreds of violent crime prosecutions. Crowe and her husband are raising their two young children in Glen Carbon and are members of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Edwardsville.
The 56th Illinois Senate District compromises all or parts of Alton, Bethalto, Caseyville, Collinsville, East Alton, Edwardsville, Elsah, Fairview Heights, Glen Carbon, Godfrey, Granite City, Madison, Maryville, O’Fallon, Pontoon Beach, Roxana, Shiloh, South Roxana, Swansea, and Wood River.
