Stuart to discuss local and state issues at neighborhood coffee shops

COLLINSVILLE — State Rep. Katie Stuart, D-Edwardsville has scheduled two constituent meetings at local coffee shops in the community to talk to residents about issues facing the state.

With the General Assembly continuing to meet during the summer, Stuart’s community discussions at local coffee shops give residents the opportunity to meet with Stuart and enable them to learn more about ongoing budget related matters, education funding and other legislation pending in Springfield.

Stuart’s events are free to the public.

The meetings are:

– Wednesday, Aug. 9, 9 to 10 a.m., Teaspoons Café, 2125 South Route 157, Edwardsville
– Wednesday, Aug. 23, 9 to 10 a.m. at Glazy Squares, 1833 Vandalia St., Collinsville
