WASHINGTON — Personal training guru Gregory Jones, a native of East St. Louis, is expanding his brand of health and fitness to the Washington, D.C., area.
Jones, a certified physical therapist, is expanding his Elite Fitness Pros company to the Washington, Maryland and Virginia areas. He said he wants to stress the importance of health and fitness on a national scale.
“My interest in the fitness industry began during my college studies in sports medicine as I have a background as a collegiate athlete and a natural passion for all things health and fitness,” said Jones. “However, what has kept me going is the realization that the services I provide add value to people’s lives. The ability to teach and help people invest in themselves by adding years to their lives, and adopting healthy habits has been the driving force in keeping me passionate about the work that I do.”
Among his prominent clients and recognitions, Jones was selected as the official trainer of the Miss United States Intercontinental Pageant and listed as one of the best personal trainers by Washington City Paper in 2013.
“We are more than just a group of fitness junkies,” said Jones. “We embody the title of fitness professionals to the T. Some companies have trainers that have fitness knowledge but aren’t great communicators and some may have great communicators but aren’t up to date in their fitness knowledge. We at Elite Fitness Pros staff trainers who not only look the part, but are knowledgeable and have the interpersonal skills to pass that knowledge to our clients.”
Elite Fitness Pros also provides services such a as fitness boxing and custom nutritional planning as well as one-on-one and small group sessions.
