Korte Recreation Center voted best recreation center in Southwest Illinois

korterecreationcenterHIGHLAND – The Highland Parks and Recreation Department says the Korte Recreation Center was recently voted the best recreation center in Southwest Illinois.

“This is quite an honor for not only the department but for the city of Highland and all of our members and guests,” said Mark Rosen, director of Parks and Recreation.

The poll was conducted via an on-line contest by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch’s Suburban Journals of Illinois.

“This award is a reflection on our staff and their customer service. With an average of over 125,000 people visiting the KRC monthly, and surpassing 2 million total guests since opening in 2001, it is apparent that Highland has benefited with so many out-of-town guests coming to our community,” Rosen said.
