COLLINSVILLE — Ameren Illinois is ranked in the top 15 Most Trusted Brands among U.S. utility business customers, according to a study by an international market research firm.
In a survey of 10,486 business and electric combination utility customers of the 60 largest U.S. utility companies (based on commercial customer counts), Market Strategies International recognized Ameren Illinois for building effective innovation, energy management and environmental programs. Ameren Illinois ranked 11th of the 60 utilities evaluated.
“With so much industry product development being conducted on environmental issues, distributed resources, energy consumption and alternative rates, the time is now to build and maintain strong brand trust levels among business customers,” said Chris Oberle, senior vice president at Market Strategies. “Brand trust is essential for the utility industry’s ability to gain customer support for these programs.”
The Utility Trusted Brand & Customer Engagement Business study analyzes more than 50 consumption, environmental, service, digital and rate offerings. Most Trusted Brand utilities have higher usage of these offerings and higher demand for future usage of these programs. The Brand Trust index is based on 35 rating questions that relate to six factors: Customer Focus, Community Support, Reliable Quality, Communications Effectiveness, Environmental Dedication and Company Reputation & Advocacy.”
