Paul Jeffrey Montgomery, CHST, corporate safety director at MHS Legacy Group whose companies have done many Southern Illinois projects, has completed requirements for a Board of Certified Safety Professionals certification.
The certification is awarded by BCSP to individuals who meet eligibility criteria and experience in the safety, health and environmental discipline, and have passed an examination.
Montgomery oversees all aspects of the safety department at MHS Legacy Group, a diversified national holding corporation carrying a broad spectrum of commercial and industrial construction trade companies. His role includes implementing activities devoted to the prevention of construction illnesses and injuries, leading a systematic training and incentive programs, and conducting corporate site safety audits.

IWR has done work on several projects in southern Illinois, including the Prairie State Generating Co. in Marissa; the Dynegy Midwest Generation plant in Baldwin; Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh; Veteran’s Hospital, Mount Vernon
RSS is starting a project soon at Olin Corp. and done did work for Highland-based Korte Construction in Oak Ridge, Tenn.
