Kathryn Modeer joins HeplerBroom litigation team

EDWARDSVILLE — Midwest firm HeplerBroom has announced that Kathryn L. Modeer has joined the litigation team in its Edwardsville office. Modeer focuses her practice on complex, multi-party civil cases and class actions.

heplerbroomlogoPrior to joining HeplerBroom, she was a judicial clerk for the U.S. District Judge Clifford J. Proud in the Southern District of Illinois. She previously served as an intern for Circuit Judge David A. Hylla of the Madison County Circuit Court.

Modeer received her Juris Doctor degree from Pennsylvania State University’s Dickinson School of Law in 2014, where she was active in a number of organizations. She was a senior member of the Corpus Trial Advocacy Board, vice president of the International Law Society, and president of the Christian Fellowship. She also belonged to Phi Alpha Delta (a co-ed professional law fraternity) and Corpus Juris Society.

After receiving her undergraduate degree, she attended a one-year intensive Chinese language program in Shanghai and is proficient in reading, writing, and speaking Mandarin Chinese.
