The Centralia Economic Development Office will play host to staff of the Illinois Metro East Small Business Development Center from SIUE.
On Wednesday, June 21, local business owners and entrepreneurs are invited to meet and participate in one-on-one counseling sessions from 1 to 4 p.m. at Centralia City Hall, 222 S. Poplar St.
Staff from SBDC will be available to talk confidentially with business owners and entrepreneurs on a range of topics including, but not limited to
– Business financing
– Marketing assistance
– Social media strategy
– Business plans
– Expansion opportunities
– Buy and selling a business
– State/federal regulations dealing with exporting and international trade.
The sessions will be preceded by a one-hour workshop, “Starting a Small Business in Illinois,” at noon.

The Metro East SBDC assists entrepreneurs as well as existing business owners operating in the nine-county Metro East region of Calhoun, Jersey, Madison, Bond, Clinton, St. Clair, Washington, Monroe and Randolph.
