Illinois American Water

p17 IL American Water Bruce Hauk     “At Illinois American Water, we listen to our customers. Customers are at the center of everything we do. We take great pride in being the water and wastewater service provider in a small community like Grafton, or a large community like Alton, Belleville, East St. Louis or Granite City. Investing in our infrastructure is critical to our mission of serving our customers’ high-quality, reliable water and wastewater service. Each year, we invest approximately $70 to $100 million to upgrade or replace water mains where leaks occur, corrosion has caused damage, or the size of the water main cannot meet the water demands. These investments enhance the water quality, fire protection and water pressure for our customers.
“We are proud to work with new business partnerships because it gives us a chance to work with a team of experts to find smart and innovative solutions in improving the water and wastewater systems in the communities we serve. We have the capacity to p17 Illionis American Water NoBkgndaccommodate projected growth and to meet increasingly stringent regulatory requirements.  Our treatment plants have capacity to serve wholesale customers, residential homes and businesses from the Waterloo to Grafton service areas with reliable water and wastewater services. Our investment in the Southern Division is just another example of continuous improvements to meet the demands of today’s customers and plan for the future.”
