New Comfort Inn hotel opens in Edwardsville

 

EDWARDSVILLE – An official ribbon cutting for the new Comfort Inn was held this month.

Formerly known as Quality Inn and Conference Center, the hotel was purchased in 2016 by Edwardsville-based R.L.P. Development with plans to close the property for an extensive renovation and conversion to a Comfort Inn.

Located at 3080 South State Road 157, the hotel opens under new management provided by General Hotels Corp. out of Indianapolis.

Officials participating in the ribbon cutting included hotel owner and R.L.P Development Inc. President and CEO, Robert Plummer, Mayor Hal Patton, Madison County Treasurer Chris Slusser, Madison County Board Member, Jamie Goggin and General Hotels Corp. President and CEO, Jim Dora Jr.

The hotel has 74 guestrooms, including a suite offering a view of the Gateway Arch.

Guestrooms now feature new bedding packages which complement Comfort’s Truly Yours Pick Your Pillow program, which offers guests the option of firm and soft pillows on the bed. Furniture and window treatment fabrics add a relaxed richness to the room where guests can comfortably rest, work, or simply enjoy watching the flat-screen TVs.

The Comfort Inn features free high speed Internet, in-room coffee makers as well as an indoor heated swimming pool, lobby business center and meeting/function space for up to 80. All Comfort brand properties also offer the brand’s signature complimentary hot breakfast.
