Public welcome to free ‘Race through Scott’s Past’

SCOTT AIR FORCE BASE — Scott Air Force Base is inviting the general public onto the installation for the Race Through Scott’s Past 5K Run/Walk on April 21, at 2 p.m.

scottafbcentenniallogo2As the first 2017 event open to the general public and marking the centennial celebration, the Race Through Scott’s Past will give the community a rare chance to tour through Scott’s historical district while learning about the base’s rich history and significant milestones, all while completing a self-paced 5K race.

After the race, stay to enjoy free food, music, bounce houses and prize drawings. Commemorative items will be available for cash purchase at the event. Registration deadline is April 19 for the off-base public.

Those with a Missouri, Maine, Washington, Minnesota or Montana Driver’s License will need a second form of identification to gain access to the base.
