Greensfelder firm elevates three attorneys to officer

ST. LOUIS – Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C., which has offices in Missouri and Illinois, has elevated attorneys Molly R. Batsch, Daniel R. Garner and Upneet S. Teji to officer, effective Feb. 1.

A member of the Employment & Labor and Employee Benefits practice groups, Batsch handles litigation related to employment discrimination claims, employee benefits and other disputes, as well as advises clients on day-to-day issues related to the employer-employee relationship. She defends management in employment discrimination charges and lawsuits, labor arbitrations, wage and hour collective and class actions, WARN Act class actions and ERISA employee benefits litigation. Batsch also regularly assists in revising and drafting employee handbooks, employment agreements, separation and severance agreements and non-compete agreements. She advises clients on employee discipline and terminations, workforce reductions, wage and hour issues, family and medical leave, requests for accommodations and a variety of other employment matters.

Based in the firm’s St. Louis office, Batsch earned her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Colorado.

A member of the Litigation Practice Group, Garner primarily represents corporate defendants in complex commercial litigation and business disputes, particularly in the energy and franchising industries. His work has included defending major energy companies in pricing and franchise disputes, including class actions. He also helps companies design, implement and operate gift cards and customer loyalty programs. This work involves helping clients to ensure their loyalty and gift card programs comply with federal and state laws, including by drafting the necessary legal disclaimers and terms and conditions, setting expiration date policies, navigating escheat requirements, and complying with advertising and marketing regulations.

Also based in the firm’s St. Louis office, Garner earned his law degree (magna cum laude) from Saint Louis University School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts (summa cum laude) from Valparaiso University.

Teji is a member of the Business Services Practice Group, representing businesses in a broad range of corporate transactions and commercial real estate matters. His corporate practice focuses on commercial finance, mergers and acquisitions and day-to-day corporate counseling. His real estate practice focuses on the acquisition, disposition, leasing and financing of all types of commercial real estate including retail spaces, office spaces, industrial properties, health care facilities and mixed-use and multifamily properties. In addition, Mr. Teji represents regional and national lenders in complex financing transactions involving commercial real estate, asset-based lending and other types of secured lending in both single-bank and syndicated financing transactions.

Teji, who works from the firm’s Chicago office, earned his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law and his Bachelor of Business Administration from Loyola University Chicago
