ST. LOUIS — United Way of Greater St. Louis recently honored Dr. Ann Beatty, of Edwardsville, with the 2016 Freeman-Kortkamp Award for 14 years of service in the St. Louis region.
The award was created to honor the outstanding service and performance of a United Way of Greater St. Louis board member who makes the community a better place to live, work and thrive.
Beatty has served as a board member for United Way since 2002, and also previously served as a member of the organization’s executive committee and compensation, strategic planning and budget committees.
Beatty was also selected to lead United Way’s organizational development committee to identify key growth opportunities in the areas of organizational competencies, employee engagement and board effectiveness.
In her role on this committee, Beatty helped the board implement a scorecard to align the organization’s day-to-day activities to its vision and strategy, as well as create a better “onboarding” process for new board members.
In 2013, Beatty coordinated United Way’s Volunteer Center Honors, a celebration where hundreds of local volunteers were applauded for their contributions to the region.
Beatty is the founder and chief executive officer of BEATTY, a management consulting firm focused on executive leadership development. She is a nationally recognized principal advisor and educator to senior executives around the nation.
