Gun owners need education
Gun owners need education
As supporters of the 2nd Amendment rights afforded to all Americans, and as members of the state Legislature, we have taken a strong stance against efforts by politicians seeking to limit the rights of responsible citizens to keep and bear arms.
While there has been some tremendous success, such as preventing the proposed tax on ammunition, Chicago politicians continue to push for anti-gun rights legislation. It is vital that local gun owners are educated about the proposals being debated in Springfield, and are informed on any changes in hunting and firearm safety laws.
On Tuesday, Dec. 8 at 5 p.m. we will be hosting a Concealed Carry Seminar with the Illinois State Rifle Association to provide gun owners and sportsmen with an update on Illinois’ concealed carry law and answer any questions about legislation pending in Springfield that would impact our rights. The free meeting will be at the Alton-Wood River Sportsmen’s Club, located 3109 Godfrey Road in Godfrey.
For more information, or to RSVP, please call (618) 465-5900 or e-mail dvbeiser@sbcglobal.net. We look forward to seeing you on Dec. 8.
State Rep. Dan Beiser, Alton
