Steve Ashe elected SIBA president for coming year
O’FALLON, Ill. – Effective Jan. 1, 2017, Steve Ashe, E.T. Simonds Construction Co., of Carbondale, will take over as the newly elected president of the Southern Illinois Builders Association.
Other officers for 2017 are: First Vice President – Harvey Wolf, L. Wolf Construction, Granite City; Second Vice President – Kent Kampwerth, River City Construction, L.L.C., Benton; and Secretary/Treasurer – Kent Richardson, Subsurface Constructors, Inc., St. Louis.
Three-year directors elected were: Jerry Ross, Ross Construction Inc., Marion; Dale Steinmetz, Charles E. Mahoney Co., Belleville; and Brad Barnard, Contegra Construction, Co., L.L.C., Edwardsville.
Three-year associate director elected was: Richard Boyer, Boyer Fire Protection, Belleville. Three-year affiliate director elected was: Pat Mandeville, Bank of Springfield, Shiloh.
SIBA staff members are: Donna Richter, chief executive officer; Josh Schaufelberger, director of industry relations; Kristin McCaw, executive assistant; Shari Schutzenhofer, administrative assistant; John Holt, director of safety and education; Galen Parks, director of safety and education; Sarah Kaczmarowski, administrative assistant; Sara Davenport, administrative assistant; and Logan Ankeny, scan technician.
The Southern Illinois Builders Association is a trade association of contractors representing 500-plus commercial and industrial building, highway and utility construction contractors throughout Southern Illinois.
