Better Business Bureau will recognize two high school seniors as winners of its “Student of Ethics” awards at the St. Louis Regional BBB TORCH Awards luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 27, at the Chase Park Plaza in St. Louis.
The winners are Taylor Danielle Mateyka of Edwardsville High School and Caroline Zupan of St. Joseph’s Academy in Wildwood.
“Tomorrow’s business leaders are today’s Student Ethics Award winners,” said Scott Mosby, CEO of Mosby Building Arts and chair of BBB’s board of directors. “They provide future hope for the St. Louis business community while setting an example for their peers, and we congratulate and encourage them to continually build upon their success.”
The award provides $2,500 toward college or trade school expenses and recognizes students who demonstrate high ethics through leadership, community service, personal integrity and academic achievement. The awards are made possible through sponsorships by Charter Communications and Drury Hotels.
CHARACTERplus, a program of EducationPlus, selected the students based on their essays, community service, academics and other achievements.
