ST. LOUIS — Sandberg Phoenix has announced the addition of counsels Cassie Lewandowski and Untress Quinn. As members of the Health Law Practice Group, both attorneys will provide guidance and litigation defense to clients in across the health-care industry.
Lewandowski focuses her legal career on medical malpractice litigation, defending nurses, doctors, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other providers in the healthcare industry. She has also advised clients on health-care regulatory matters and represented clients before various state administrative boards. In addition to her health-care practice, she has significant experience in business and commercial litigation, as well as product liability and toxic tort.
Quinn has significant experience in civil litigation, including medical malpractice litigation. He has defended multiple catastrophic and complex litigation cases involving civil rights, labor and employment, product liability and medical malpractice cases which included neurologic, obstetric, neonatal, pediatric, cardio-thoracic and other traumatic injuries. He has served as a registered nurse with experience in direct patient care.
Each attorney has been recognized for their outstanding legal abilities. Lewandowski was recognized by Missouri Lawyers Weekly as an “Up & Coming Lawyer” and “Law Firm Leader” in 2015 and was named to the Missouri Bar Pro Bono Wall of Fame in 2012. Quinn was selected as The National Black Lawyers Top 100 for 2015, and has also received the NAACP’s 54th Freedom Fund Awards for excellence in law. He was also recognized as a “Leading Lawyer” in the categories of Employment Law: Management; Medical Malpractice Defense Law; and Personal Injury Defense Law: General.
While Lewandowski will work primarily from the firm’s St. Louis office, Quinn will split his time between the firm’s St. Louis, O’Fallon and Edwardsville offices.
