Buchheit locations to honor first responders
On Sept. 10, all eight Buchheit retail locations will be holding a First Responders Appreciation Day, including a free lunch for responders and their families.
“In light of the recent attacks on humanity, we feel those who serve the community deserve our utmost gratitude,” said Tim Buchheit, CEO of Buchheit Inc. “We hope these folks enjoy some simple time with their families in the company of the community that truly does appreciate what they do for us every day.”
Buchheit invites the community to come out and join the celebration. A percentage of the sales on Sept. 10 will be donated to the D.A.R.E. program.
“Buchheit shares D.A.R.E.’s vision of a world where people respect others,” said Buchheit. “We will be donating a percentage of our sales to the D.A.R.E. program to help further their cause of educating our next generations.”
D.A.R.E. envisions a world in which students everywhere are empowered to respect others and choose to lead lives free from violence, substance abuse, and other dangerous behaviors. Launched in 1983, D.A.R.E is a comprehensive K-12 education program taught in thousands of schools in America and 52 other countries. D.A.R.E. curricula addresses drugs, violence, bullying, internet safety, and other high risk circumstances that today are too often a part of students’ lives. (www.dare.org)
