SCORE, SBDC to assist entrepreneurs in Belleville area

The Illinois Metro East Small Business Development Center at SIUE, in partnership with The Greater Belleville Chamber, Southwestern Illinois College and Southwestern Illinois Chapter of SCORE, will present on Sept. 23 a learning opportunity for budding entrepreneurs and future business owners.

The SBDC’s informative “Starting a Business in Illinois” workshop will be held for the first time in the Greater Belleville area. The workshop will instruct attendees on how to develop a viable business plan; properly register business with state and/or local agencies; and explore business financing options. In addition, attendees will get the opportunity to ask questions about a specific business idea and any next steps in their startup process.

The course is recommended for anyone developing a new for-profit business concept.

To register or get more details about the workshop, click on the link below. There is a $10 register fee to cover administrative cost. The SBDC will be unable to process a payment by credit/debit card at this workshop site. Registrants should anticipate paying by check or cash at the door. (Checks should be made payable to “SIUE.”)
