Studio 50 Photography holds ribbon cutting in O’Fallon

studio50O’FALLON-SHILOH — The O’Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Studio 50 Photography, and the ceremony felt close to home.

Studio 50 Photography is owned by Melissa Federhofer, the chamber’s communications and marketing manager.

The studio is at 111 E. Second St. in O’Fallon.

Federhofer has an extensive background in graphic design and fine arts, and her passion for photography has followed her throughout high school and college. She has more than 10 years of experience as a professional photographer. Studio 50 Photo was formerly Photographique and continues the 50-year tradition of being the exclusive yearbook, sports and dance photographer for O’Fallon Township High School.

The previous owner of Photographique, Sharon Vasquez, continues to work with Melissa at the school, and with day-to-day operations. In addition to the school, Studio 50 Photo specializes in high school seniors and weddings, as well as offers professional business portraits and product photography.

As a 17-year resident, Federhofer said she knew she wanted to stay in O’Fallon when deciding on a new location, and is excited to be in the heart of downtown.

“O’Fallon is such a great town, and after raising four kids here, I knew I wanted to give back in some way. I am proud to have my business in O’Fallon, as a part of our growing community. She said. “I love that I am now the photographer for the school all four of my kids attended.”

Federhofer works for the chamber two days a week and is at the studio three to four days a week.
