IMPACT Strategies to build warehouse, office building for Weir Parts Distribution in Red Bud

Construction-management firm IMPACT Strategies has been awarded a contract to build a new 114,000-square-foot warehouse and office building for Weir Parts Distribution in Red Bud.

The project, now underway, is IMPACT’s first for J.R. Rentals, LLC, owner of Weir Parts Distribution.

As a multi-state GM, GMC, Ford and Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram parts distribution business, Weir’s new facility will allow the company to expand its operations and take on additional parts lines. The warehouse will incorporate the use of custom technology into its new systems for movement of parts internally, creating a full mezzanine with coordination of conveyors and lifts to assist in parts handling. Additional office space will accommodate Weir’s growing staff. Weir Parts Center has more than 109 employees and 74 trucks on the road delivering parts and equipment to clients throughout the Midwest region.

“As our business has grown over the years we are currently spread out over 10 different storage buildings,” Norman L. Roy, owner of Weir Parts Distribution, said. By consolidation under one facility, we will gain substantial efficiencies, which will benefit our employees and customers. We are thrilled to get this started with IMPACT.”

IMPACT Strategies is working with Mike Schneider and his architecture firm Quadrant Design, Inc., located in Waterloo. The new facility is scheduled for turn over to Weir in April 2017.
