BELLEVILLE — Memorial Hospital East, located at 1404 Cross St. in Shiloh, has been awarded accreditation from the Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, an independent, accreditation organization recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
It earned this distinction after the program conducted an extensive and objective review of the quality and safety standards of Memorial Hospital East, which opened in April of this year.
“Memorial Hospital East clearly demonstrates a commitment to quality patient care,” said Stephen Martin, Jr., Ph.D., M.P.H., chief executive officer of the HFAP. “We base our decision on federal standards, as well as recognized national standards for patient safety, quality improvement, and environmental safety.”
“We’re proud to achieve this prestigious distinction,” said Ruth Holmes, administrator at Memorial Hospital East. “The awarding of the HFAP accreditation is a significant achievement that recognizes our commitment to providing outstanding care to our patients and our community. In fact, quality is consistently the priority focus in our strategic plans and goals.”
Memorial Hospital East is a 94-all private bed full-service hospital.
