Extra MetroLink service for tonight’s big St Louis sporting events

Metro will provide extra MetroLink service during the evening tonight, Monday, May 23, as sports fans converge on downtown St. Louis to watch the St. Louis Blues take on the San Jose Sharks for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Western Conference Final at the Scottrade Center, and the St. Louis Cardinals face off against the Chicago Cubs at Busch Stadium.

Fans can park at any of the 21 free Park-Ride lots located at MetroLink stations in both Missouri and Illinois, and purchase a round-trip MetroLink ticket for $5 to ride to any of the six MetroLink stations serving downtown St. Louis, including the Stadium MetroLink Station outside of Busch Stadium and the Civic Center MetroLink Station, just steps away from the Scottrade Center. Passengers headed to the Scottrade Center from the Civic Center Station should note that the north pathway from the station is closed due to construction, so they will exit the MetroLink platform up the stairs to 14th Street and then head north to get to the Scottrade Center.

MetroBus is another option for getting to downtown St. Louis. Sports fans can catch the No. 40 Broadway or No. 99 Downtown Trolley, which both have stops near Busch Stadium, or ride on one of 18 MetroBus routes to the Union Station MetroLink Station, located just west of the Scottrade Center.

To plan a trip, download the Metro On The Go App to your mobile device, use the Trip Planner on metrostlouis.org or contact Metro Transit Information at (314) 231-2345 or (618) 271-2345, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
