From Illinois Business Journal news services
COLLINSVILLE — The Chamber of Commerce Southwestern Madison County is hosting its Annual Business & Industry Appreciation Evening, Thursday, April 28, at the Gateway Convention Center.
The Chamber will be celebrating what it calls “a very necessary partnership” between the business community, educational system and government. A related video filmed and edited at Granite City High School will be shown.
The second feature of the evening will be a stage conversation between Anthony Estopito, chief of staff at the Illinois Department of Economic Development and Opportunity and Jennifer Foster, deputy director of Adult Education and Workforce, at the Illinois Community College Board. The conversation will be narrated by David Stoecklin, executive director of Madison County Employment and Training.
It will discuss, among other things, the great jobs that exist in construction, manufacturing, and in the trades.
The event has been planned and implemented by the Chamber’s 32 board of directors and the event committee that is made-up of representatives from local universities, community colleges, parochial schools and school districts.
