SHILOH – Fast-casual restaurant franchise, Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers, recently began construction on its newest St. Louis metro market location at 3320 Green Mount Crossing Drive, near Target in Green Mount Crossing shopping center in Shiloh.
Slated for an early-summer opening, the Kansas-based restaurant serves all-American menu favorites including thinly-pressed steakburgers, Vienna beef hot dogs and crispy shoestring fries, as well as an assortment of dessert treats prepared with a choice of freshly-churned, chocolate or vanilla frozen custard.
“We chose this site in Shiloh because it’s a prime lot with great visibility from I-64,” said Randy Simon, CFO and co-founder. “It’s proximal to family-oriented residential areas and we feel it’s an all-around great match for our family-friendly restaurant concept. We hope to be an accessible dining option for local residents and area shoppers alike.”
The 3,170-square-foot, free-standing, franchisor-owned location will seat 100 guests, with additional seating on the patio. Drive-through service will be available.
“We have a franchise location in Cottleville at 6031 Mid Rivers Mall Drive, and a location in St. Peters at 1365 Jungermann Road,” said Simon. “We’re excited to expand into the eastern St. Louis metro market and we look forward to serving the Shiloh community.”
Co-founded in 2002 by Scott Redler and Bill, Randy and Freddy Simon, Freddy’s opened its first location in Wichita, Kan., offering a unique combination of cooked-to-order steakburgers, Chicago dogs, and other savory items along with its signature desserts prepared with premium frozen custard made fresh throughout the day.
Freddy’s founders operate six locations in the Wichita Metro area and eight in the Kansas City market. One-hundred and seventy-six franchise units serve a total of 29 states across the map from California to Pennsylvania, Virginia and down the east coast states to Florida.
In 2016, Freddy’s was recently named for the third year in a row as one of the top 10 on Franchise Times magazine’s Fast & Serious list. In 2015, Freddy’s was recognized as one of Entrepreneur magazine’s Franchise 500, included on Inc. Magazine’s 500/5000 list of “Fastest-Growing Private Companies” (both, for the fourth consecutive year), named one of the five fastest growing chains by Nation’s Restaurant News (for the second consecutive year), and identified as one of eight “Better ‘Better Burger’ offerings” by Bloomberg Businessweek.
