CUB to make utility bill presentation in Troy, Alton and Granite City

A Citizens Utility Board representative will be in Troy, Alton and Granite City in coming days to talk about programs designed to help consumers save energy and money.
CUB will be handing out free compact-fluorescent light bulbs during the events.
The first workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, March 29, at Tri-Township Park District, 410 Wickliffe St.
The second workshop is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 31, at Senior Services Plus, 2603 Rodgers Ave. in Alton.
A third workshop will be held in Granite City with details pending.
CUB will provide information related to utility bills, energy efficiency and more. Consumers may bring their bills for review.
No advance registration is required.
Representatives from Madison County Community Development’s home weatherization and low income home energy assistance program will also be present at the workshops to answer residents’ questions.
