HIGHLAND — Woodcrest Small Engine and Saw Repair has a new owner and location.
Shaun Horstmann has relocated his business to 705 Broadway. Woodcrest is a full-service small engine shop in operation for more than 10 years.
“I bought the business from David Munie in February of 2015. I had worked for him through high school and college before trying other things. Then decided to take a chance, make a deal, and go for it,” Horstmann said. “Dave helped me for the first six months get started and now he is working for the Highland School District.”
Munie started the business at 300 Forest Drive before Horstmann moved it to 620 13th St. and, now, to 705 Broadway.
Woodcrest is now the local Gravely dealer, featuring 18 Gravely mowers on the newly renovated, expanded showroom floor.
Woodcrest specializes in repair of small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, weed-eating devices, leaf blowers, generators, pressure washers, snow blowers and tillers. It also provides a pick-up and delivery service for convenience of customers for a standard fee. With a stocked inventory, including batteries, oils, filters, belts, and other maintenance items, Woodcrest is able to service a large variety of engines for all seasons. Woodcrest also repairs and sells refurbished lawnmowers and other machines.
The company also sharpens chains and lawnmower blades in house.
