Licensed Clinical Social Worker joins Belleville Family Health Center

BELLEVILLE – Southern Illinois Healthcare Foundation has announced that Stephanie Henson, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, has joined the Behavioral Health team at Belleville Family Health Center, 180 S. Third St. in Belleville.

Henson manages care for clients of all ages with a special focus on mental health concerns, geriatrics and women’s issues.

Said Henson, “I work collaboratively with my clients to overcome the challenges in their lives. As a therapist, I don’t make decisions for them – I help guide them so they can regain a sense of control and build their confidence.”

henson stephanieHenson (left) has extensive experience in the Behavioral Health field. She has held various roles with Chestnut Health Systems, including most recently, associate director of housing. She has also served at Unity Hospice in Collinsville and Heartland Human Services in Effingham. She earned her Master of Social Work from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and her Bachelor of Art in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University.

Henson is currently accepting new patients at Belleville Family Health Center, and appointments can be scheduled by calling (618) 233-5480.
