From Illinois Business Journal news services

The Illinois Metro East Small Business Development Center at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, in partnership with Southwestern Illinois College and the SW Illinois Chapter of SCORE, will present a learning opportunity for budding entrepreneurs and future business owners on March 3.

The SBDC’s informative “Starting a Business in Illinois” workshop will be held for the first time in Red Bud. The workshop will instruct attendees on how to
• develop a viable business plan;
• properly register business with state and/or local agencies; and
• explore business financing options.

In addition, attendees will get the opportunity to ask questions about a specific business idea and any next steps in their startup process.

To register or get more details about the workshop, click on the link below. There is a $10 register fee to cover administrative cost. The SBDC will be unable to process a payment by credit/debit card at this workshop site. Registrants should anticipate paying by check or cash at the door. (FYI, checks should be made payable to “SIUE.”)
