Stillwater Senior Living names chief operating officer

EDWARDSVILLE — Belleville resident David C. Read Jr. has been named chief operating officer/executive director of Stillwater Senior Living, Edwardsville’s licensed assisted living community at 1111 University Drive.

Read (left) brings over 25 years of experience in the senior housing industry. A Certified Public Accountant and licensed nursing home administrator, Read has held various roles in senior management, consulting, and insurance for healthcare entities in the Metro East and across the country.

Read, a Belleville native, resides his wife, Denise, and two sons. He is a member of the Illinois Health Care Association, the Illinois Nursing Home Administrators Association and serves on Camp Ondessonk’s board of directors.

Stillwater, constructed by Edwardsville residents Bruce and Kathy Long, opened January 2015 with 46 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments.
