Greensfelder names chief diversity officer

ST. LOUIS – The St. Louis-based law firm Greensfelder, Hemker & Gale, P.C. has named Christopher A. Pickett its chief diversity officer. In this role, Pickett will lead the firm’s efforts to foster an increasingly diverse and inclusive workplace and to recruit and retain diverse talent.
Pickett (left) is an officer in the firm’s litigation practice, leader of the securities and financial services industry group and co-leader of the trade secrets/restrictive covenants group. He represents a local and national clientele in an array of business litigation and employment matters, particularly in the areas of securities and higher education. He will maintain his active litigation practice in addition to assuming the role of chief diversity officer.
Since joining Greensfelder in 2012, Pickett has helped lead the firm’s diversity initiatives as chairman of the firm’s diversity & inclusion committee. In 2013, he was named as a Leadership Council on Legal Diversity fellow, participating in a national leadership program for high-performing attorneys from diverse backgrounds.
Greensfelder’s diversity efforts have been recognized with numerous awards in the St. Louis region, and in 2015, the firm was named among the “100 Best Law Firms for Female Attorneys” by one of the legal industry’s top publications, Law360.
