Small-business workshops planned throughout year by SBDC

The Illinois Metro East Small Business Development Center at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is sponsoring a number of small-business seminars in coming months.

They are:

– Tuesday, Jan. 12, 3 to 7 p.m., featuring a one-hour (5:30 to 6:30 p.m.), “Starting a Small Business in Illinois” Workshop, Fairview Heights City Hall, 10025 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights.

– Friday, Feb. 5, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a one-hour (noon to 1 p.m.), “Small Business Financing Workshop,” Troy Municipal Building, 116 E. Market St., Troy.

– Thursday, March 10, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Columbia City Hall, 208 S. Rapp Ave., Columbia.

– Tuesday, March 22, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, featuring a workshop from noon to 1 p.m., GCEDG Office, 314 Fifth St., Carrollton.

– Wednesday, April 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring a “Starting a Small Business in Illinois” workshop from noon to 1 p.m., Village of Hartford, 140 W. Hawthorne Ave.

– Wednesday, April 20, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a “Social Media Workshop” from noon to 1 p.m., Peer 151, 15 N. First St., Belleville.
