The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Education, Health and Human Behavior has achieved accreditation through 2022 under the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education standards.
Twenty teacher, administrator and school personnel preparation programs within the school and the SIUE College of Arts and Sciences were nationally recognized by their specialized professional associations. The council’s performance-based accreditation system for teacher preparation ensures that teacher candidates are prepared to make a difference in P-12 student learning.
“This reaccreditation certainly indicates our commitment to producing the top teachers, administrators, and school personnel in the region,” said Curt Lox, dean of the school.
