Students of the Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville Club Sports organization recently presented Anderson Hospital with a donation to benefit the Friends of Hope Breast Center. They chose to donate their profits from the Breast Cancer Awareness T-Shirt sale as a philanthropic effort from the organization to help Anderson Hospital increase awareness.

The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Club Sports program oversees 35 student-led clubs. The program is comprised of student organizations that provide programs for instruction, recreation or competition in a specific sport or recreational activity. Sports club activities accommodate varied interests, cultural differences, abilities, and needs of participants. Part of the education for the 500 or so participating students is the cooperation and collaboration that takes place to achieve a desired goal. The Club Sports program is housed in the Department of Campus Recreation at SIUE within Student Affairs to provide students greater access to the resources at the university.
