Senior Services Plus holding Wellness Center open house

ALTON — Senior Services Plus will hold its annual Wellness Center open house from 3 to 8 p.m..

The public can tour the agency’s wellness facility, learn about personal training, become acquainted with Wellness staff members, and sample the Fresh & Fit Menu.

Senior Services Plus’ Wellness Center is equipped with various styles of cardio equipment, such as treadmills, ellipticals, bicycles, and row machines. The facility also has many pieces of strength training equipment, from free weights and dumbbells to pin-loaded and weight-loaded machines.
Tours of the Wellness Center will be held every 15 minutes.

All regular fitness classes will take place in the Fitness Studio and chairs will be provided for anyone to watch. The schedule for the studio is as follows: Zumba Gold from 3 to 4 p.m., Cross Training from 4:15 to 5:15 p.m., Kettle Bell from 5:15 to 6 p.m., Martial Arts from 6 to 6:30 p.m., and Zumba from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Night crew will be in the weight room from 7 to 8 p.m.

Class demonstrations will also take place in the School House Grill, highlighting the classes that normally take place during morning hours.
At both 5 and 7 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to meet the staff, including Lucas Hale, Wellness coordinator.
