King Bridge should reopen in December, IDOT says

The Illinois Department of Transportation says the Martin Luther King Jr. Bridge over the Mississippi River in East St Louis should reopen the week of Dec. 21, weather permitting.
After the bridge is reopened to traffic there may be periodic temporary closures of the bridge over the next several months to complete minor work items and remove the contractor’s scaffolding. Any additional closures would be limited to weekends and/or weekday off-peak traffic hours, IDOT said.
