GRANITE CITY – James Stanley has been appointed to the position of assistant chief executive officer at Gateway Regional Medical Center.
Stanley (right) joined the hospital in October of this year and will serve as an extension of the administrative team at Gateway.
He has been a part of the CHS network since 2002, serving as the director of marketing and public relations and ACEO for Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Ky., before joining Gateway.
He will be working directly with senior Gateway Regional’s senior leadership. Stanley has relocated to the Collinsville area.
“I look forward to working with the dedicated team of professionals at Gateway Regional Medical Center. It’s because of their continuous hard work that GRMC has become such an important asset to the surrounding communities,” said Stanley.
“James offers a level of health-care management expertise and a background in marketing and business development that will help us navigate the hospital through all the changes we see in the health-care industry,” said Ed Cunningham, CEO of Gateway Regional Medical Center. “We look forward to working with him in his new role as our new ACEO.”
Gateway is a 343-bed hospital with a 100-bed behavioral health unit. Located in Granite City, the hospital and its predecessors have served the community for more than 100 years.
