Bost conducting congressional listening session in East Alton
Congressmen Mike Bost, R-Murphysboro, and representative of the 12th District, will conduct a congressional listening session today (Thursday) in East Alton.
It is the 11th stop on Bost’s listening tour — covering all 12 counties of the 12th District by the end of the year.
This one is 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at National Great Rivers Research and Education Center (Jerry Costello Confluence Field Station), 1 Confluence Way.
The events provide constituents an opportunity to share their thoughts and ask questions directly to their representative in Congress. No appointment is necessary.
“Meeting with my constituents on a regular basis is the most effective way for me to get a real sense of what issues are important to them,” said Bost. “This is an informal, face-to-face way to build relationships with folks from all corners of the district, regardless of their political persuasion. I’m doing all I can to be the accessible and accountable representative Southern Illinoisans deserve.”
