HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital honors Every Hand Healing service award winners

BELLEVILLE — HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital has presented its Every Hand Healing Awards to four individuals who display a commitment to St. Elizabeth’s core values of respect, care, competence and joy.
The service awards were given Friday at the annual fund-raising gala to Kevin Meder, Donna Meyers, Ashley Hundelt and Dr. Wasseem El-Aneed:
– A principal at Clifton Larson Allen, Meder is being recognized for his work as an advocate for high quality health care in the Metro East. He served in leadership roles on the St. Elizabeth’s Foundation Leadership Council and has provided tax education assistance to the hospital.
– Meyers is honored for her commitment to connecting and expanding St. Elizabeth’s community outreach. She is also a retired colonel from the Air Force Reserve Nurse Force, and serves as an RCIA mentor and eucharistic minister at St. Clare Parish in O’Fallon.
– Hundelt is an RN and being recognized for her commitment to excellent patient care. A charge nurse on the sixth floor, she is currently pursuing a family nurse practitioner degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
– El-Aneed is a hospitalist with HSHS Medical Group. He is recognized for his outstanding bedside manner, and respectful and caring interaction with patients and staff.
The Elizabethan Fundraising Gala is an annual event to raise funds to support health care programs and needs for HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital.
