Korte Company working on addition at The Highland Home

HIGHLAND – The Korte Company began work this summer on an addition at The Highland Home, an independent retirement community located in Highland. The addition and renovation work at The Highland Home will expand the existing lobby and will offer additional space for a welcome desk and sitting area for residents and visitors.

A drive-through canopy is part of the scope of work, and will offer guests and residents protection from the elements. Also included in the renovation is and update of the multipurpose room, with new wall finishes, lay-in ceiling and modernized lighting features.

The Korte Company has worked with The Highland Home for many years, and in fact, began its relationship with them in 1961 with a kitchen remodel project. Since then, The Korte Company has completed four additions through the years as the community has grown.

“The Highland Home has a rich history as part of the city of Highland, and we’re excited to be a part of this project to help The Highland Home accommodate growth and attract new residents to the community,” Jay Korte of The Korte Company said.
