Alton antiques store rebounds from fire, reopens Saturday

ALTON – An antiques business closed since a May 10 fire will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 3.
Country Meadows Antiques will reopen at 401 East Broadway at 11 a.m.
According to Alton Main Street, the organization that represents business interests and supports revitalization in the Downtown Alton area, the store marked its 29th year in business in August.
Owners Gary and Pam Voyles will welcome customers back to a freshly designed shop that offers more than 5,000 square feet of antique furniture and collectibles, glassware, costume jewelry, folk art, quilts and more.
Hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4:30 p.m.
