Collinsville Main Street group holding Fall Festival

COLLINSVILLE — The annual Fall Festival returns to Main Street in Collinsville on Oct. 24.
Sponsored by Scott Credit Union, the Fall Festival activities begin at 10 a.m. with a Chili Cook-Off where visitors can sample a variety of different chili recipes from the vendors, many of which are local non-profits. Scott Credit Union recently presented a $1,700 check to the Collinsville Main Street Community Association to be the presenting sponsor of the festival.
First-, second- and third-place awards are presented to the best traditional and non-traditional chili, as well as the best-decorated booth.
Children are invited to wear costumes and bring a candy bucket to make the rounds of participating Main Street businesses from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At noon, participants will head to the Main Stage for a kids’ costume contest.. Awards are given in four age groups through the sixth grade.
A “Critter Crawl” pet parade steps off from the Mutts on Main Dog Park located at 509 W. Main St. at 2 p.m.
The event is organized by the Collinsville Main Street Community Association.
