MCT offering service to Rams games this season

From Illinois Business Journal news services

GRANITE CITY – The Madison County Transit Rams Express is again providing bus service to and from every Rams home pre-season, regular season and post-season game at the Edward Jones Dome.

Madison County fans can park at one of 13 locations and save the expense and frustration of tackling the traffic and parking in downtown St. Louis.

The Rams Express is $3.50 each way for adults (13 and older) and $1.75 each way for children (ages 5-12), senior citizens (over 65) and persons with disabilities. Children under 5 are free. Fares for the Rams Express are paid at the time of boarding. Buses will drop off on Cole Street (between Seventh and Ninth streets), adjacent to the Dome 30 minutes before kick-off. The buses will depart from the same location 20 minutes after the end of the game.

Pick-up and drop-off locations for the Alton Rams Express include Alton Square (lower level), Atrium Hotel (formally Holiday Inn), Eastgate Plaza, Wood River Station, and the River’s Edge Park & Ride lot in Granite City; Edwardsville Rams Express stops include Edwardsville Station, Leclaire Junction, Cottonwood Mall, Maryville Park & Ride, and Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville; Highland Rams Express stops include Highland Park & Ride, St. Jacob Park & Ride, and Troy Park & Ride (all located on U.S. 40). Rams Express brochures with specific pick-up times for each home game are available on MCT buses, at MCT transfer stations, or at www.mct.org. For details, call (618) 797-INFO (4636). Groups of 30 or more are encouraged to call MCT in advance to ensure seating availability.

MCT also advises passengers that the NFL adopted a “clear bag” policy for all stadiums in 2013. The MCT Rams Express page at www.mct.org has information about the NFL  requirements. MCT will not allow for personal belongings to be left on the bus during the game. In addition, no food, beverages, or coolers are allowed on the bus.
