Kassly funeral directors serving roles on state association

FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS – Two funeral directors at Kassly Mortuary of Fairview Heights also are serving their profession statewide through the Illinois Funeral Directors Association.

Mark Sherfy, with 32 years of experience as a funeral director, serves as secretary-treasurer of the professional group, which offers continuing education and advocacy to more than 650 members.

Charles Kassly, with 34 years of experience, serves as a member and past chair of the Association’s Ethical Practice Committee. The committee is responsible for providing guidelines, advice and consultation to support member funeral directors on specific issues and concerns.
